Section 304B — Dowry death
BNS equivalent: BNS Section 80
Where the death of a woman is caused by burns or bodily injury within seven years of marriage and she was subjected to cruelty for dowry, it is a dowry death, punishable with imprisonment of not less than seven years up to life.
